Crush your business goals with these social media tips

social media tips

Social algorithms may change 24/7, but we’ve got three social media tips that will help you crush it on these ever-evolving social apps.

So say goodbye to that horrible feeling of never being ahead of the game. These three techniques are evergreen strategies that will be successful (regardless of what gets thrown your way with a tweak to the algorithms)!

SOCIAL MEDIA TIP 1: Create shareable content

The power of others sharing a piece of content is priceless! It helps bring awareness to your brand, gets your message in front of more eyeballs, increases credibility … shall I go on?

Now, of course, shareable content can look a little different depending on your business and the industry it serves.

It could be creating text photos that have a message that will resonate with your target audience, creating educational videos, highlighting your employees in some capacity, sharing fun behind-the-scenes moments – the list goes on!

Don’t get caught up in the idea that social media is only the place you come to sell. It’s actually the place where you develop your brand identity, foster friendships and build trust, which in turn encourages people to want to do business with you!

So focus on creating three to four pieces of sharable content per month and see how it begins to pick up traction in the feed.

SOCIAL MEDIA TIP 2: Be social on social!

This one is the simplest way to crush it, but one of the most overlooked.

It’s important to always comment back to someone who took the time out of their day to engage with your content. Also, be sure to respond to those who share your messages and go out of your way to engage with others (even if they haven’t engaged with you).

These apps, at the end of the day, were designed to evoke conversation, keep people engaged and to build community.

Take 10 minutes out of your day to engage with your followers, like and respond to comments and think of ways you can be more involved with your local community. You’ll see your social media engagement take off after that!

SOCIAL MEDIA TIP 3: Be consistent!

Consistency looks different to everyone, and it certainly doesn’t mean posting every day for the sake of posting. Social media has evolved over the years, and platforms prioritize content that is well thought out, strategized, and posted with a purpose.

Create a schedule with your team that works for you and design content that promotes your business but also shows some personality. Then stay consistent with it for six months.

Whether that’s posting two times a week on three platforms or five times a week on one platform, find the frequency that is right for you. This will give you a good test sample of posts to evaluate what platform makes the most sense for your brand.

Understand what content you can consistently create, and go for it. At the end of the month, check back in with your analytics, evaluate what worked, what could have been better and then make adjustments.

But quality is greater than quantity and will ALWAYS be relevant, regardless of what year it is.

If this all seems a little overwhelming, don’t worry! These three social media tips will help get you on the right track.

Still, if you believe your business would thrive on social media but you simply don’t have the time to commit to a strategy, we understand. That’s why we handle this for many of our clients. To learn more, contact SWBR to see how we can get your social media on the path to success!
