Advertising is in Ernie’s DNA as he’s a third-generation family member to join the business his late grandfather founded. With that pedigree comes an almost six sense of identifying the “it factor” needed to create campaigns that spark customers to action. Ernie (or ET) uses his outgoing personality to connect with clients to build strong collaborative relationships. He digs deep to uncover new opportunities that will make a measurable difference for each client’s business. A graduate of Eastern University and Saint Joseph’s University (MBA), he has the book smarts and experience to elevate brand communications with strategies that challenge the status quo. He’s always guiding Team SWBR toward the correct target audiences, smartest campaign messages, right digital channels and best traditional tactics suited to boost sales.
When he’s not working, Ernie enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He’s also an avid golfer still searching for his first hole-in-one.
Jackie is passionate about strengthening client relationships and is always dialed in, and always has a smile on her face. Her bubbly personality and positive energy is infectious and her love of people and processes makes sure every project is done right – and completed on time. She tirelessly works with clients and our team to create campaigns across multiple channels that continually surpass expectations. But Jackie doesn’t just keep the trains on schedule at SWBR, she rolls up her sleeves, too!
Whether it’s brainstorming and curating content for social media campaigns, strategizing marketing automation workflows, building out smart email campaigns or helping steer digital campaigns to the right audiences, this Kutztown University grad is always enhancing the brand experience in one way or another. When she’s not at work, she enjoys watching sports and being outdoors.
As our creative leader, Michael has a relentless work ethic that drives him. He’s a highly motivated advertising pro with more than 25 years of industry experience in building brands, devising clever strategic solutions and creating award-winning designs. His approach is diverse, fresh and forward-thinking. A College of New Jersey grad, Michael is passionate about creating everything from engaging websites, videos and TV commercials to designing digital, print and billboard campaigns. Developing strategic concepts that fit each client’s communication needs – while always following brand guidelines – are where Michael excels. He has a can-do attitude that elevates the work and inspires the people around him.
Many brands have benefited from Michael’s expertise. He’s worked with clients in a wide range of industries that include: consumer products, business to business, financial, education, technology and state government.
With more than 25 years of experience working in digital and traditional marketing and communications roles, Dave excels in fast-paced environments and always delivers results. In his 17 years at SWBR, he has created and written numerous award-winning campaigns that promoted everything from larger-than-life Mack Trucks to intricate medical devices. He’s helped brands succeed with smart marketing solutions and has advised numerous companies in the construction, financial, medical device, education, transportation, industrial and insurance industries.
He now leads our digital team in building websites and digital campaigns that exceed client expectations. He’s heavily involved in analytics reporting, marketing automation and all search, display, social and email campaigns. A graduate of Lycoming College, Dave is also the author of the book: It’s okay to not eat your peas.
SWBR is a veteran-owned advertising agency that has served local and global brands for five decades and Ernie has been a big part of it from nearly the beginning. Following in his dad’s footsteps, Ernie has built brands and marketed products for a wide range of diverse industries. As owner and CEO, he has a sincere approach to meeting clients’ objectives and forging solid relationships. Ernie is a University of Maryland grad and a former United States Marine who knows how to get things done. He’s a straight shooter that demands a lot from his team, but the results of this approach have been the foundation of numerous client successes. The byproduct of elevating so many brands over the years has in turn helped SWBR grow into a nationally recognized B2B agency.
When he’s not steering our team, Ernie is likely playing golf, watching a baseball game somewhere or spending time with his wife, kids, grandkids and dogs.
As our organic social media expert, Jess is always up to speed on the latest digital marketing trends that give her an edge in creating game-changing personalities for every brand. Through her passion for storytelling, which started when she was old enough to write in her black-and-white composition notebook, she’s crafted hundreds of social media posts, blogs and press releases. This Penn State University grad excels at brand voice development, content strategies, content creation, design (images and videos), content monitoring, engagement growth, influencer marketing, social listening and campaign analytics.
Jess has worked alongside clients in various industries, including B2C, B2B, construction, education, financial, law, medical and technology. When she’s not socializing online, you can find her behind the camera working her side-hustle as a popular lifestyle photographer in the Lehigh Valley. She loves capturing moments that will last a lifetime.
Way back before the advent of PCs, iPhones and the Internet, Steve graduated from Elizabethtown College with a BS in accounting. He briefly worked for an accounting firm in Easton, PA, and passed the PA CPA exam. He then joined Mack Printing of Easton, PA for 20 years, and during this time he attended the Executive Business Program at the Fuqua Business School of Duke University. Over the next 25 years Steve became a wandering Chief Finance Officer, working in places like Alpha, NJ, Reading, PA, Wilkes Barre, PA, Pigash Forest, NC and Ithaca, NY.
He eventually found his way back to the Lehigh Valley and joined SWBR as our Vice President of Finance. We’re glad to have his vast experience on our team. When not crunching numbers, Steve stays busy spoiling his grandchildren, reading, golfing and working on his backyard mini golf course.
Public Relations is alive and well in the modern world, and Elizabeth is poised to help your company shine in today’s complex media landscape. She believes in an integrated approach, designing customized strategic communications plans that includes marketing, digital and public relations touchpoints. With more than a decade of experience and two degrees from Villanova University (B.A.) and USC (M.A.) under her belt, she has the skills and knowledge to get your brand noticed. Deploying her agile mindset, gift for storytelling and critical listening skills, Elizabeth is always outfoxing our clients’ competitors with successful PR campaigns. Time and again, she has met clients’ business goals across a wide range of B2B and B2C industries.
In her spare time, Elizabeth serves as the 2022-2023 Communications VP of the Junior League of Lancaster to help gain recognition for one of the oldest women’s nonprofit organizations in the country.
Mikala is intensely detail-oriented in her approach to developing creative marketing solutions. She is adaptable and comfortable in our fast-paced environment, but be warned, she asks lots of good questions. A graduate of Kutztown University where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design with concentrations in Graphic Design and Illustration, she is booksmart and brings great versatility to our team.
Mikala is passionate about exploring design trends from the past and repurposing them for the modern audience. She continually seeks inspiration in the world around her as the first step in expanding her creative process. Her passions are brand development, editorial design, digital illustration and designing fashion graphics. And when she’s not drinking too much espresso, you can find her enjoying a Queen record, thrift shopping or pampering her cats.
At SWBR, we work hard and play hard, but above all else you must love dogs! Our company has a laid back environment where every day is Bring-Your-Dog-To-Work Day. And Ernie’s dog, Boe, has become our unofficial SWBR Mascot.
We’ll admit Boe isn’t much of a watchdog, but after we finish brainstorming our latest campaign or cranking out work to meet a deadline, Boe’s wagging tail reminds us to maintain a proper work-life balance. He’s always ready to play fetch or search for someone to scratch his ears.
