SWBR promotes Matthew Brannon to senior manager of public relations

We’re proud to announce that Matthew Brannon has been promoted to Senior Manager of Public Relations.

In his role, Matt will serve as SWBR’s primary public relations professional, managing execution of PR plans and projects, maximizing exposure for clients and the agency. Matt’s areas of expertise are in media relations, crisis communications, brand/reputation management, writing, editing and internal communications.

A member of the SWBR team since 2012, Matt has provided public relations and branding services to a variety of national, international and local companies, including National Penn Bank, DeSales University, Bethlehem Catholic High School, Mölnlycke Health Care, BDP International, GGB Bearings and Progressive Waste Solutions.

“Matt has a tremendous knack for capturing publicity for his clients,” said Mike Walbert, SWBR’s Director of Strategic Communications. “He understands the shifting media landscape and navigates it well to deliver results – whether securing a high-impact feature profile or getting our client’s name out of the press to preserve their reputation.”

Matt graduated from Temple University with an English degree, and worked as a newspaper and magazine writer and editor for several years.

Prior to joining SWBR, Matt served for a number of organizations in Europe, providing PR and marketing services to Nestle and the European Union, among others. He also taught English in Europe for five years.

Matt and his wife live in south Philadelphia.
