Meet Laine Cravotta, SWBR’s fall 2019 creative intern

Meet Laine Cravotta, a Communications Design undergrad at Kutztown University who is flexing her design skills this fall as our creative intern. Here are a few fun facts about the Stroudsburg, PA native.

What do you hope to learn during your time at SWBR?
I hope to learn more about how an ad agency operates day-to-day. There are so many roles on a team, so learning what happens outside of the creative work is really interesting to me.

What made you want to intern at SWBR?
I wanted to intern here because I really enjoy the interactive and online elements that SWBR has worked on. SWBR really focuses on not only the overall look but the strategy and the research to back it up. I really appreciate that thoroughness and commitment to brands.

What are your favorite things to do?
I really enjoy playing ultimate frisbee; it’s something I’ve been doing competitively for over five years. I’m a part of several teams and leagues, as I really like the team atmosphere and constantly learning how to improve within the sport. I also like to listen to music; especially 80’s and 90’s.

      Favorite candy?
I have a few. Milky Way for best chocolate and Laffy Taffy or SourPatch Watermelon for the sweets.

What’s your favorite holiday and why?
Halloween! I like how it can be spooky and scary, but it can also be silly and wholesome. I also really like to dress up in costumes and go to themed parties.

What’s the best show on television?
The Office or Scrubs. Needs no explanation.

What’s the most interesting place you’ve ever visited?
This past summer I was able to go on a two week trip to Europe for the first time! I was in Iceland, Sweden, and Estonia, where my family is from. I got to meet some distant relatives and get to see the nation’s song and dance festival on the 150th anniversary of the country’s liberation. The country was very interesting as far as the mix of the modern and old town in the capital, Tallinn.

Name one thing on your bucket list.
I want to try skydiving! Basic answer but the truth because I am not scared of heights – at least not yet!

      Dream job?
My dream job would probably be a Creative Director at a New York agency. I really enjoy the idea/brainstorming process, so anywhere I could do that all day, I would be happy.
