Major: Communication Design (Advertising and Graphic Design tracks)

1. What do you hope to learn during your time at SWB&R?
I am hoping to learn about the processes of getting a client, designing for that client, and then creating the final advertisements. Ultimately, I want to take in as much as I possibly can while I’m here.

2. What made you want to intern at SWB&R?
There is a program offered at Kutztown called “Taking the Plunge” and Tony Susi – Art Director at SWB&R – came in to talk about his job. After hearing everything he had to say about the company, I thought that I would fit in well. Tony explained that everyone at SWB&R acts like they are family (not just business partners), and I truly enjoyed that.

3. What’s your favorite ad right now?
I would have to say my favorite advertisement right now is A Driver’s Life – Driving Matters™.  It’s an advertisement for the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata, that tells the story of a young man’s journey through life, and the cars that got him there. I must admit that I am a little biased though because I have a passion for cars, so I really relate to this!

4. What’s the most important thing you’ve learned in college?
The most important thing I learned in college is no one is going to make you better other than yourself. People will guide you along the way but if you want something to happen, YOU have to make it happen.

5. What are your hobbies?
My hobbies outside of graphic design projects consist of me spending time with my family, my girlfriend, and my dog! I have a major passion for cars and I really enjoy photography, skateboarding, and snowboarding.

6. Favorite candy?
That would have to be a three-way tie between Reeses, Twix, and Kit Kats.

7. What’s your favorite holiday and why?
My favorite holiday is Christmas because it’s the one time every year that my entire family gets together to have a great time. Family is really important to me and to have everyone together in one room is something I wouldn’t trade for the world.

8. What’s the best show on television?
My favorite TV show has to be Hawaii Five-0.

9. What’s the most interesting place you’ve ever visited?
The most interesting place I’ve ever visited was Vermont. I went out there to snowboard with my family at Killington Ski Resort and Okemo Mountain Resort. The mountains are amazing and the scenery is truly beautiful.

10. Name one thing on your bucket list.
My bucket list is long but I would really love to visit Hawaii with my family and my girlfriend.
